Me and my wife and partner Lillian Banderas from Dale Zine got asked to work with all ages students at Apple to help students draw vibrant Miami landscapes of their own. We shared our own creative process and how to find inspiration. Kids were able to get hands-on with iPad and Apple Pencil and use templates to explore colors, brushes, textures, and shading to create fun tropical illustrations.
The following Saturday we got the opportunity to teach our Today at Apple guest to use the skills they learned the week before for our Procreate comic book workshop. The idea was simply get an iPad and draw in a cell for 60 seconds and then pass the iPad to there neighbor. At the end of the given time we had several really funny creative stories to show.
